My tracks and GPX
Everything you save, import or record ends up in one archive on the phone. Open a GPX a friend sent you, see how much dirt it has and get guided along it.

The archive
Where: ☰ menu or Settings › "My tracks".
Each track says where it comes from, planned, imported or recorded, with date, distance, climb and descent. The detail shows the elevation profile, surface km by km, share of dirt and, for recorded rides, the statistics. You can open, rename, delete, navigate and export.

Importing GPX and KML
From "Import GPX or KML", or by opening the file with "Share" or "Open with" from another app, on iPhone and Android.
- GPX: tracks, routes, segments, waypoints, names, altitude and time. A file with several tracks becomes several entries.
- KML: each line becomes an entry.
- If the track is inside the downloaded regions, Polly matches it to the map and tells you how much is asphalt, dirt or restricted. Outside the maps it says "unknown surface".
- Files up to 100 MB, 1,000 tracks and 500,000 points.
Following a track
In the detail tap "Navigate" and choose how to start:

- "From the start", "From the nearest point" or "Reverse direction".
- If you are more than 50 m from the starting point, Polly works out the way there.
- If the GPX has gaps between segments, it joins them with a real road instead of a straight line.
- If you leave the track, rerouting takes you to a point further on and keeps the rest of the track.
- Outside the downloaded regions the line stays visible, but the approach and rerouting may fail: the app warns you.
Export and share
- GPX 1.1 with segments, waypoints, altitude and time. For rides with telemetry, also speed and Polly's data.
- CSV of the ride, one row per second.
- PDF of the rally roadbook.
Files are shared with the phone's share menu: messages, email, the cloud you already use.
The numbers
- 100 MB
- largest file you can import
- 500,000
- points at most in one file
- 3
- ways to start: start, nearest point, reverse
- 50 m
- beyond this distance Polly takes you to the start of the track
What it does not do
- No cloud sync and no account: if you change phone, export your tracks first.
- No web portal to view tracks.
