Offline maps
Download a region once, on your home Wi‑Fi. From then on map, routes, search, restrictions and speed cameras work on the phone, even where there is no signal.

The regions
All 20 Italian regions, one by one. Each region reaches 5 km past its border, so you cross from one to the next without gaps. If you download several, Polly uses them together for routes, search and rerouting.
Where: on first launch, or ☰ menu or Settings › "Offline maps".

What a region contains
Normal map and topo map, four road networks for routing (Road, Easy, Medium, Hard), elevation, places to search, points of interest, speed cameras, reasons for restrictions, protected areas and data sources.
How the download works
- On Wi‑Fi it starts at once; on mobile data it asks first.
- It continues in the background. On Android even with the app closed; on iPhone while the app is suspended, and if you swipe it away it resumes when you reopen it.
- If it stops, it resumes where it was, without starting over.
- Before downloading it works out the space actually needed and tells you.
- Every file is checked before installation. If a map is damaged you get "Repair".
- During a ride you cannot delete the region in use; an update downloads but installs at the end of the ride.
Topo map
A switch in the ☰ menu (or Settings › Appearance) changes the normal map into the topo map.

- Hillshading, contour lines every 25 m and bolder every 100 m, spot heights.
- Easy, Medium and Hard tracks with different dashes, white roads, restricted sections, protected areas.
- Summits, passes, fords, barriers, springs, huts and shelters, viewpoints.
- TINITALY elevation at 10 m where available, otherwise Copernicus at 30 m.
When you switch it off, tracks stay drawn as minor roads.

What it does not do
- You need the internet to download the first region.
- Only Italian regions: abroad the app tells you so.
- Data comes from OpenStreetMap and public sources: it can be incomplete or out of date. Each region's date and sources are in "Info, credits and warnings".
